To
color our solution dyed fiber,
we add dry pigment powders to the polymer before the yarn is extruded.
This way, the color is an intrinsic part of the fiber, going right to the core.
Conventional liquid dyeing, by comparison, only
colors the fiber surface. Because the
color goes all the way through, the fiber can be cleaned more
aggressively and is more fade resistant than conventionally dyed fibers.
